History
1968- inlingua® founded on September 13 in Bern, Switzerland. Founding members are a group of experienced teachers who worked in independent schools before and who have close relations to other language institutions. They realized that there was a need for an international school which has effective materials and common method as well as which is compatible with local markets.

1971- inlinuga® published language teaching materials in English, French, German Italian, Spanish and Portuguese by increasing the number of language centers up to 95 in Europe.

1972 – inlingua® licenses were given to North America, South America and Asia.

1975 – inlingua® set up its Pedagogical Committee which was made up of experienced language teachers from inlingua® world in order to control its teaching method, coordinate its use and recommend the foundation about material development.

1980’s – inlingua® identified the deficiencies of contemporary materials by seeing the increasing importance of business English and started to study on private education materials for business world.

1991 – inlingua® produced the business English centered program named APP (Professional Program). This is the first business focused language program to be developed by and international language institution. APP gives you a common professional working environment in all inlingua® language centers in the world. This enables international businessman to move from one center to another without any loss.

1991 – inlingua® opened the 250th center.

1999 – inlingua® increased the number of language centers to 300  in Europe, North and East America, Asia, Africa and New Zealand. It released the education materials comprising book, CD-ROM and video cassettes in 14 different languages.
