Vocabulary
1- Do not use a bilingual dictionary (English to Turkish). Your dictionary should be a monolingual one which has English explanations for English word.
2- Choose interesting words from your dictionary and try to use them in sentences to remember them easily.
3- Classify the word groups according to Subject titles such as “Fruits” and “Office Furniture”
4- Write words on small cards and definitions on the back side when you study words. After studying, try to remember how many words you can remember. Keep these words in a basket for word games.
5- Try to learn new things in your real life as much as you can. The best way to learn vocabulary is to use them in spoken and written language. Try to use them by learning a new word everyday.
6- Learn how to pronounce the word. Pronunciation is a part of learning new vocabulary.
